Today we took a ferry ride on the Swan River across to South Perth and back. Here's a view of downtown Perth, a city of 2 million people.
The weather is absolutely gorgeous. People say the weather in Perth is like the weather in San Diego - 300 sunny days per year. But there is, apparently, a shortage of water as they have desalinization plants in operation to provide fresh water for residents.
I can see why my father loved Perth.
