2012 Feb 9: Thailand Day 5

Today we flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, about 400 miles north, on Bangkok Airways. The flight was about an hour and the alternative is a 12-hour train ride. We arrived at the hotel about 3pm and after freshening up a bit we took a short walk around the city, found a place to have dinner and crashed early.
